Good listen. He talks about Mathieu, Fournette, Shaq, Simmons, and other LSU athletes who are taught how to deal with the media

Sports marketing with Karam is the GOAT class

Karam is the best teacher that LSU has

Dr. Karam is the man & does so much for LSU. He was also so easy to talk to, whether you were an athlete or not, he treated everyone the same. Great man for our University

I have never set foot inside a LSU classroom but I sat next to him at a baseball game in the old box once. Very interesting guy and just as nice as could be.

Karam was/is better at teaching public speaking than most of the CMST instructors. I loved his class.

I took both 3401 & Sports. I absolutely loved his lectures and his bullshite-esque methods

Knew him when he was director of the academic center for athletes. fricking awesome guy.

as someone with a CMST minor, I can attest to that. I learned more about public speaking in in both his classes then i did in 15 hours of public speaking classes.
I crapped myself the first time he stopped my speech in 3401.

The butthole definitely puckers. He is a master of constructive criticism. He'll call your shite boring but somehow be really nice about it.

Good interview. Thanks for sharing. Did intership in Medicine with his brother, Dr. George Karam. Talented folks

He is the best not known asset LSU has. Knows more then probably anyone in the state about marketing, but is humble as ever.

I always wanted to take his class, but it filled up quick

He interjected during our presentation to complement my answer, and I was so caught off guard I was confused and asked him to repeat the question
It just blows my mind how there are so many teachers who just don't get it like he, Sauley, and a few others I've had at LSU. We'd all learn a lot more if they could make it more fun to learn like some do.

Tommy and Kerry each taught me twice. Those 4 classes count for about 25% of everything I actually learned and applied in the real world.
