This time it went bad for the victim, but who's to say they wouldn't have shot him anyway?
I think I'd be willing to take the odds of not being shot by the carjackers to actually being shot by some cowboy.

Guess that means you keep giving money to people selling bridges or you just make shite up since you have nothing really intelligent to say.
Thanks for that intelligent contribution.
I don't support gun control. And I don't support some a-hole shooting me in the head. They aren't mutually exclusive.

Then don't broadly tie them together. Pretty simple concept, remember it for next time.

He owes the guy that shot him in the head a beer and a thank you at the very least.

Yea, let's use one outlier example to make an argument about regulating guns.
This!
Although it's unfortunate that this "friendly fire" event occurred, it's does not absolve the fact that this wouldn't have occurred if not for the criminal act in the first place - the blame still lies solely on the perpetrators, not the Good Samaritan.

He will be affected 1000 times more than the "victim" and car owner in this case.
Can you read? The "victim" and car owner got shot in the head.

I wouldn't say solely, but mostly. Knowing your own abilities and/or skill set is a crucial part of getting involved with these situations.
