A DL analysis without mentioning Cam Jordan.

Where the hell did this guy go? 1 little injury and poof he's a cream puff

Vaccaro has been very solid in both games so far. Not sure what you're seeing.
Phillips also looked way better than Bush, minus the two bad angles he took when the underneath defender let his guy go.
I'd like to see a combo of Byrd, Phillips, and Vaccaro with Byrd playing deep and Phillips and Vaccaro roaming around.

Dont forget swann!
I've been impressed by Swann so far. Always seems to be in the right place and is a sure tackler.

The secondary is getting a bad rap. Take away the penalties and you have a young, still building chemistry, unit that hasn't given up an obscene amount of passing yards. They tackle well and are around the ball. They clean up those penalties and get a little more game experience and they should be pretty solid.

Linebacker
You knew the Saints were going to be in trouble at outside linebacker after they released stud pass-rusher Junior Galette due to off-field concerns. At this point in his career, David Hawthorne is just a two-down player who brings very little playmaking ability off the edge
so no mention of Kikaha or Anthony? Kikaha has forced a few turnovers already... but no praise... awesome.

He didn't paste it all because they're both mentioned in the article I'm seeing.

If we stay healthy, this defense will get better as the season progresses. Anthony, Breaux, Swann, and Kikaha will get better. Our problem is finding a coverage LBer (Ellerbe if he can ever get healthy), and finding a legit CB to pair with Browner (Westbank if he can get healthy). Jenkins has played really well in the middle, and Richardson has done a pretty damn good job when in there. Our problem is health and youth.

Anthony is a legit cover LB and has been doing a fine job so far. We could use another one though (and Ellerbe could do it). But the drought of not having even one since we had a healthy Vilma is over.

Bush is a bum. He has literally done nothing for us.
Vacarro was the reason for Edebali's sack against TB. Vacarro rushed with Kikaha. Kikaha took a block, and that led to Vacarro rushing the QB up to Edebali.
Vacarro also made a few good plays in coverage. So far, he's looked much better than last year. Hopefully he doesn't get anymore of those bogus roughing the passer penalties anymore.

Yeah Vaccaro has looked real good so far. I think the injuries really bothered him last year. This year he is back to flying around and they are putting him in good positions.
shite once we get Byrd, Lewis, and Ellerbe back our defense could actually be good. The biggest issue so far has been the secondary penalties and Lewis knows how to avoid those. I think we have a chance to get back to 2013 form.
The offense on the other hand...

I don't care that they're UDFA's.
There's no reason to think Snead and Coleman won't improve as the season rolls on.
As for the defense, I've been encouraged.
Also, I'm gonna be looking for sources of pass rush in unexpected places.
Like Gwacham.

I don't see the receivers as the issue. They each had at least three catches in the TB game.
It's way more the play calling, the run blocking and/or run calls that don't work, and Brees not being decisive (though it was hard to tell how much that was corrected or not game one to game two with Brees under heavy pressure against TB).
The pieces are working fine but we aren't using them well.

I wonder if our Offensive Guards can be salvaged? I remember wondering about that leading into the off season and draft. I guess it's not a big deal since we have a tall, young, mobile QB.
