It took me the entire year to figure out the song lyrics were "I'm from Louisiana". The only time I heard the song was just before kickoff and the whole time I thought the song was "pump up the weazal".

Had some buddies from Texas & Arizona visit last year for the Ole Miss game. They have now integrated 'I'm from Louisiana' into their music playlist because of how awesome it sounded in the stadium.

LSU better play I'm from Louisiana because this isn't 2001 anymore. I'm from Louisiana pumps every one up.
No. That terrible piece of shite song is probably what caused our 8-5 season last year. never again.

I'm glad it's gone. I hope Garth soon disappears as well.
Im glad you said this... the way that almost 102k people sing along with it during pregame is proof that it isn't enjoyable(sarcasm). Beats the heck out of the "Women who rock" halftime shows that the GBFTL picks out. Don't get me wrong, I love some GBFTL pre-game and the music they play in game, buttheir half-times have been a snooze fest for a while. As far as the OP, that song is garbage...

I'd like to hear more Juvenile.

Anybody that does not advocate for this song to be played before kickoffs was not in the stadium during the second half of the olemiss game last year

Agreed. Bring it back. Regardless of how terrible it may be it brings a great energy into the stadium before kickoff. The students will likely ruin this one eventually as well though.

Maybe it brings something to the players but I 100% disagree that it brings 1 ounce of anything to the stsnds. The Ole miss game was rocking because we were going to knock off a top 10 team. Freaking Celine Dione would have had the stadium on fire.

I'm assuming here, but I think they play "Go DJ" because Donte Jackson is the return man.
You are correct.

It grew on me. The players seem to love it

Definitely NOT .
Could they possibly work with an artist/songwriter to make some songs/anthems and every 3-5 yrs create new songs.

I have to admit, it does pump up the players...but man, I didn't miss that irritating shite at all...

I was there for this game, and I still don't like it. You can't understand what is being said, it just sounds like "hub hub hub hub hub weezzzzzeeeaaannn!" Lyricism is dead, and in a state that has such talented musicians, we can come up with something better than this.
