Just try not to come with too many overly douchy posts from now on

It's weird to me that Doctor Who is considered hipsterish. Back in my day (80's and 90's) only true dorks watched it on PBS. Real nerds had stack of VHS tapes with handwritten labels.

I guess BBC's American presence has made the recent incarnations more accessible. I find it highly entertaining and I drink cheap beer and bourbon.

Star Trek by far.
LOTR would be next.
Only a die hard Star Wars fan would leave out his own fan base.

1-A. Godzilla fans?
For real. The way their fanbase tried to defend that awful PS4 game that just came out was comical. The game was fricking atrocious and if you say it to their face, they'll go full on berserk rage on your arse.

There's a difference between nerds and geeks.

Alot of people in this thread need to learn it.

In terms of my personal favorite:

Wars
Trek
Lotr
Never seem Who.

In terms of full blown geekdom today.

Trek
Lotr
Wars

Although Star Wars could claim that top spot back after December.

There are multiple people who can read Elvish. I'd put LOTR over Star Wars.

There are also Star Wars languages that people can speak, like Huttese. LINK

Completely agree. Used to watch it with my dad all the time, however....

This. And it just seems that, to me, a lot of Hipsters like Who. A lot.
