re: Latest food/drink things that annoy you

People say that they waited 30 minutes before someone took their drink order. No you probably waited 5 minutes or so. If you waited 30 minutes you are an idiot for not grabbing someone and just wanted something to bitch about.
While that isn't what I'd consider "latest food/drink" type of trend, I totally agree with you. If you've ever gone to a normal dinner (meaning.. not a leisurely dinner with a group where you mingle well beyond your dining time) and looked at the time you sat and then the time you leave, it is pretty darn surprising how little time it takes.
I'm always surprised when I go to dinner and get back in the car and it has been like 45 minutes total.
So really.. it is unlikely anyone is waiting for 30 minutes.

Nine months or not, I have learned not to get between a pregnant woman and what she wants.

I really do enjoy the craft beer movement too, but man the craft beer mafia reminds me of a circle jerk of dungeons and dragons faithful.
Things like Salmon said:

What I don't like is all #beermafia, shitlords, hoarding or whatever other nonsense happens when a beer gets hyped and the people that get them hold the hostage for the people that want them and ask for the birth of your first newborn if you dare try to trade for it.
It isn't really here on this board, but other boards, it isn't about drinking and enjoying beer but more about accumulating #rare #cases and then bragging about it.
And things like Bug said,

For example, great flash has a best buy date, when they ever decide to stamp their bottles, on the side of their IPA's. Well, i saw one yesterday, best buy October 30th? I thought, oh ok, thats not too old. Then i saw another Green Flash bottle from a different IPA that said best by March 2016. 6 months? For an IPA? There is no way that beer is still fresh then. Just put a damn brewed on date, and let me decide if i want to purchase it then. I don't know how efficient they are at not producing any dissolved oxygen in the brew or bottle process. I do know that majority of Green Flash beers i get are way past their prime, which is why i stopped getting them.
I get where you're coming from, but dang, you almost make having a beer sound like work.
I should start demanding to the born on date to see the eggs at brunch from now on...if that shits is past 2 weeks old, I ain't buying 'em. No way they're still fresh.

It was probably terrible unless it was less than a week old, so I wouldn't have wanted it anyway.

Surprisingly... still really fricking good.

compared to others this board is nothing on hoarding
and really...the only beer this board hoards or goes nuts over is Ghost, and the hoarding and trading of Ghost is nothing compared to some beers

You can drink an IPA that is 6 months old if you want. But it will always taste like it is intended fresh. Most brewers worth their salt have a born on date for that reason.
Old beer is gross. And spending $12 on a 4 or 6 pack for a beer that tasted old, mustey, and stale because the brewers didn't put a stamp date is easily avoidable.

Chinamen? Seriously?
They are men and are from China. What word would you have me use?
Also, the Japs are buying up all the scotch to frick them too.
