1 loss SEC champs, the loss coming to Ole Miss but we still go due to tiebreaker. We end up in playoffs in #3 or #4 spot.

I thought before the season there were 6 to 8 tossup games. And that if we win our share, we still lose 3 to 4 games. We could have easily lost last night, imv. It was 50-50.

Losing 3-4 wouldn't be a shocker as going 11-1 wouldn't either

The cancelled McNeese game will hurt down the road; we won't have that "W" to our credit. Refusing to pass and putting all eggs in run basket will also bite us, maybe soon as next week. We lose to Aub, AL, Ole Miss, maybe Ark, and maybe one or two more if CLM doesn't shake his pass phobia. A truly balanced pass/run effort will only benefit the whole team. Why that isn't obvious to CLM is an all-time mystery.

Before the herbstreit/corso et. al. hype I said 3 losses.

After last night I say 3 losses.

I truly hate our fanbase sometimes. This was the first game of the year. In a hostile environment, on the road, BH second career start. Chill the frick out. When Harris threw it he looked good, with the exception of one over thrown pass. We will be fine. I say no losses.

Thinking 10-2. Should be 11-2 but the damned cancelled game...

I would bet on a loss to Alabama and one of Ole Miss or Texas A&M. The second loss is a floater -- I don't know exactly who it would be, and I wouldn't be surprised if both teams I named start scrubbing out at some point, but I don't think the product we saw last night is the kind of start that leads to a one-loss season.

I feel like there were a good number of mistakes that can be cleaned up. Championship teams almost always are peaking at the right time. I like our schedule the next few weeks to let us continue progressing for the back end of our schedule. I felt all summer on the road in week 2 against MSST was our hardest test early this season. If we can improve on the mistakes and continue getting more comfortable on offense, I can see us beating anyone on our schedule.

That being said, other teams have the opportunity to improve as the season goes on as well. I think we have 1-2 losses. How the rest of the games shake out for deciding winner of the West... no f'in clue. Gonna be a wild ride this year.

Right now, I think we lose @ Oxford, @ Alabama, and 1 more game along the way.

No matter win or lose the rant will rant. I saw alot of good things last night and some frustrating things that for the most part are easily correctable. Give State credit for fighting it out when we were really putting it to them. They made adjustments and made the game competitive when it was not. It was a good thing for this young team to have to dig deep to stop the comeback in a hostile enviroment. It will serve them well. I got us losing to Ole Miss for now. I don't want to admit another loss to Bama but it's possible.

1 loss, maybe 2. Undefeated would not surprise me, other than it takes a lot of things going right to not slip up once.

Negative Nancy's are being way too over-reactive. We just opened our season on the road, against a conference team that has already played a game. Name the last time that happened (hint- you won't like the results). If you go by the "most improvement happens between game 1 and game 2" rule, you'll relax a little and accept the following- the offense should be a lot smoother at home vs Auburn next week, and we really played well vs State all things considered.

I saw nothing that leads me to believe this team is going to have a bad year.
