Looking for a mid-sized truck that's reliable. I'm guessing a Tacoma would be my best bet. What says the O-T?

I test drove the new Colorado a few weeks ago and it was really nice. I just don't want to buy a GM, personally.

Are Tacoma's truly "mid-sized" trucks? I get the draw to them. To me they just look bigger because of wide fender wells and larger tires. It's even jacked up higher to appear bigger so they have to add the mud flaps to close that gap between the ground and truck for the illusion that it's a bigger truck. It's obvious when you see a base Tacoma that looks like this without all of the body side molding, large tires and mud flaps. Then compare that to the one that is commonly seen about. They're the same truck, it's just made to look bigger. It's the same truck.
