I drove from BR to Madison straight through solo a few years back. About 17 hour drive.
I will never forget it because it was this time of the year and I was listening to some bowl games on wwl. Never hward the station before, but it was good on that evening. So good that I listened and had reception all the way home. Although it got pretty fuzzy near the top of Illinois. It was a challenge to make it home in one trip and see how far that radio station would come in for.
Illinois is completely boring to drive through if you are making the trip. Wisconsin is better, but that stretch going to Green Bay up 41 has little appeal. Wisconsin has way more beauty up north or on the western side.

What is the average number of days everyone is heading up to Green Bay for?
I had to book hotel for Thur thru Sunday, so I know I'll fly up on Wed or Thur. The plan is to catch the Cubs - Brewers in Milwaukee on Monday and fly back on Tuesday. So six to seven days.

I'm bringing my camper. Does anyone know anything about campgrounds in the surrounding area?

There will be plenty of tickets on the td ticket exchange this summer for face value. Season ticket holders will over order or not be able to go. Only buy from the Stub Hub type sites if you want to over spend.

I have made the drive many times over the past 15 years. You have two choices in terms of route. If you want to see Chicago/Milwaukee then you take I-57 through IL, and yes, it is one long boring stretch from (I-55 & I-57 split) Sikeston, MO until you reach Chicago. Also, there are more tolls on this route.
Otherwise you can stay with I-55 through southeast MO, which isn't bad, and catch St. Louis, then you have about 4 hours in IL which can be boring as well. You pass through Springfield and Bloomington (I-39N from there) but that is about it. I agree that once you get into WI the drive gets a little better.
Use the I-55/I-39 route through Madison, Oshkosh, Appleton to Green Bay if you want to avoid Chicago/Milwaukee. One word of caution if you go this route, there is a 25 mile stretch on WI State Hwy 26. In the middle of that stretch you come into a small town called Rosendale. Obey the speed limits closely there. It drops down to 30 through town and usually they are on patrol.

Didn't we split the Houston tickets down the middle? I get that this isn't an established neutral site game but why would we agree to such a low percentage of the tickets? Both schools know LSU will travel extremely well for this game.

Cubs game and LSU WI at Lambeau in the same trip.
Living the dream. Awesome trip.
Don't miss eating some fried cheese curds in Wisconsin and sampling some local brews. There are plenty.

Our plan is to fly into Chicago, catch a game at Wrigley Thursday night. Pick up our rental car Friday and head up to Appleton for the weekend. Then drive down to Milwaukee, catch Brewers Cubs Monday at 12:10 and fly out of Milwaukee Monday night.
It's definitely gonna be an EPIC weekend!

LSU season ticket holders will gobble up most if not all of the allotment {heard it will be less than 14,000}
LSU is receiving 20,000 tickets for this game. That's already been determined. And it is expected that season ticket holders will request that full allotment.

Exchanged my timeshare week for a week starting on Fri the 2nd. Staying at Fox Hills Resort 30 miles away in Michicot. Is a golf resort. I think you can book the condos through their website for less than a week.
