You are probably the only person on this planet that thought any of these guys would be an nfl super star

Mariota Is going to be a stud in the NFL.
Mettenberger looks much better than Mariota thus far.

should also add that as a child when the Saints drafted Wuerffel I had convinced myself (after years of watching him torch LSU) that he would be the savior. I vividly remember my dad laughing at me, but as someone who didn't know shite about football and only knew names I thought for sure we got the GOAT.
Same here.
I will overstate the fact that I was a teenager that didn't really know that college production doesn't always translate to the NFL.

I always thought Dan LeFevour was going to be a star also. At Central Michigan he was a terror and he played RB in HS so he had good running skills. When the Cowboys passed on him in the 2nd and 3rd I was pissed. Then the Bears took him and was waived then picked up by Cincy, I knew he was done for. I think he is now on IR in Canada.

Vince Young without question

thought that palmer would be a star.
Palmer had a good stretch and flirted with being just out of elite before his knee injury. He was never really in the argument for best in the league, but he's had a really good career.

At least you admit it.
I knew he would be a bust when he played in Auburn in 2006. How could you watch that game and not see it?

I couldn't help but think Byron Leftwich was going to be a great one while I was watching his bowl game as a senior

The only game I remember Losman playing big in was vs Miss Stake in the Dome. Was he really that great? I know he was drafted first round, but I just don't recall him much at Tulane.

Also Shaun King was destined for great things especially after leading Tampa Bay to the playoffs his first two seasons. Then Gruden comes in and for some reason replaces him with Brad Johnson. Luckily for him that worked out but at the time i thought they were insane for giving up on a promising young QB.
This is my pick as well, I loved watching Shaun King play.
Gruden gets a lot of praise everywhere as a football coach and I can't figure out why. He refused to develop a young QB his entire time coaching and kept bringing in old guys that got them nowhere.

When did he bring in Simms? I think if he doesnt get hurt he might have had a chance in a NFL system like Gruden's.

I was fairly young and extremely biased, but I thought David Greene would be winning Super Bowls.

Chase Daniel. Really thought he looked good at NO. Thought the saints might part ways with Brees before the 100M contract. Same style QB. Never really panned out anywhere.
AJ will be my next flop. I know he wasn't highly sought after. But he wins. Will be interesting to see if anyone gives him a chance.

Brady Quinn
Similar to Clausen (maybe even moreso since Clausen was super-accurate) - he had a slew of great pass-catchers that made him look better than he really was in college. Samardzija was a great receiver; he would have been awesome in the NFL. Stovall and McKnight were also very good, and Fasano was one of the best tight ends in the country that year.
Brady has all the physical tools, is a smart guy, and has a great work ethic, but there was always something just missing with his game.
Situation matters a lot for rookie QB's, too. Getting drafted by Cleveland significantly lowered his odds of being successful. I bet Teddy Bridgewater wakes up every single day and says a quick prayer, thanking God that organization didn't draft him.
