Samsung UN105S9 Curved 105-Inch 4K Ultra HD 120Hz 3D Smart LED TV ($119,999.99 - Prime Eligible)

Very realistic image! I took an HD video of my garage door opening, then placed my new Samsung UN105S9 in front of my garage and pressed play as my wife was coming home. She drove straight through the TV! Ha Ha! I got her!

Our family bought this to connect to our Atari Model 2600, and let me just say, the quality of the pixels are just stunning! Pong looks the best so far. My wife said "what is that big square going across the screen?" "Its the ball, honey, I said.... it's the ball"
and be sure to answer questions

Q: Is it Energy Star compliant?
A: Yes, assuming you have your own star.
quote:
Q: How many souls can be trapped within its 4K Ultra HD resolution?
A: That depends on how much soul a certain soul one has. The average soul takes up 3-4 pixels, baby souls 1 pixel, children and teenagers 2-3. There are bigger souls that spent alot of time eating and getting fat off soul food, they can take up as much as 10 pixels. A 4k tv should have about 8,294,400 pixels which means on average you should fit around 2,074,000 souls.

Q: Is it wall-mountable?
A: It is Great Wall mountabe per the manufacturer. I cannot comment on a typical home wall as I sold mine to buy the TV.

Not margin wise for the TV, usually the high dollar TV's have a lot more profit
ETA, for example their 20k retail TV cost 11k

The dealer cost I'm looking at is a lot higher than 96k

About a 25% margin. Not that bad.
quote:
As the price of televisions have continued to drop, so too have the profit margins of retailers who have given into increasing pressure to lower their prices. Competition, coupled with increased production, have driven profit margins down significantly. According to "The New York Times" article, the average profit margin for televisions ranges somewhere between 10 and 20 percent above cost. That number was based on a study completed by Forrester Research.
Other TVs might not be the proper comparison at this price range anyway. Average margin for new car dealers is like 3%, probably a bit more for luxury cars but nowhere near 25%. Average margins for new home construction (yes this TV cost as much as some starter homes in cheap areas ) is lower than 25%.
The 25% margin might be pretty solid actually.

Either you bought the new 4K OLED from LG.
Or you didn't buy a TV worth bragging about.
LED technology is shite.
