My sister cancelled two rooms at Embassy Suites in East Syracuse yesterday (6646 Old Collamer Road South). Give them a call. 315-446-3200

where are the best lots for visitor tailgating/the best tailgating areas that are easily accessible to parking lots?
So I found this online, best option is to see if you can call the ticket office for a pass to the standart, fine, ray or stadium lot. I've seen people tailgating there. Other than those close lots, most of the other lots are inaccessible unless you have clearance (parking lots by the quad, in the middle of campus). I'm not sure if people tailgate on south campus in skytop because you have to take a shuttle to get to the dome.

Thanks, man. TM mentioned that you can park on campus roads if you get there early enough. Is this doable?
Like I said, I'll be there between 6:30 and 7:30.

Nice that y'all are setting up a tailgate. I think we are just going to show up and find the Alumni Association's tailgate.

Yeah, man. I thought about jumping into a tailgate, but we'll be a group of 7 or so. So that complicates things.
I figured it would be easier to bring our own stuff and set up a little tailgate. It'll be a nice opportunity to test drive my new burner and gumbo pot.

Can me and my family go to your tailgate or is anyone setting up a tailgate? Let me know. Thanks

Yeah 7 makes it a challenge. My friends from out of town are likely going to bail so it will be just me and the SO.
Makes it easier to join a larger tailgate.

Keep an eye on the LSU Fans in Boston page on Facebook. They should be putting together a tailgate.

Yall are welcome to come by as long as you don't mind a little debauchery.

CuseTiger, suggestions for a good area to hit for two guys on foot? Should we maximize our pre-game drinking time downtown at the bars, or wander around campus?
It doesn't sound like there's a concentrated tailgating area so we may just hang out downtown.

From Mark's website LINK:
There's some free parking over there, but not that much. If you're getting there early enough, you should be okay to go. That switchover at 6pm is a bitch, so just ask the cops nearby for assurance. There's a lot more parking under I-81 for $10

If you decide to try your luck with on street parking in the Stadium West area (west of the Dome, streets between Dome and I-81) you need to arrive at least three to four hours early. Usually big orange barrels are set up on the side they don't want parking. If you find a space open and you aren't blocking a driveway or too close to an intersection or fire hydrant park there. Bottom-line: parking is only allowed on one side of the street. They will ticket and tow. THE SWITCHOVER IS 6PM AND IS STRICTLY ENFORCED. PARKING TIP: If the kickoff is at 3:30pm the Syracuse cops should allow you to park past the 6pm switchover if you leave quickly after the end of the game. Just be sure to ask a nearby cop to double check they are still are allowing a short grace period after the game end

Lot of syracuse people usually drink at nearby houses before the game then head over to the quad. To be honest I've never been out downtown before a game, I can't picture it as being bad though. You're right, there isn't really a concentrated area. I'd probably start downtown, then head towards the bars/tailgates by marshall street and campus. Chucks is good if you're younger, faegans is always a solid choice

Is Funk n' Waffles as good as it looks?
I'm planning on making that my gameday breakfast.

They've got good milkshakes and waffles, man it's been a while since I've been there. It's got that hipster feel to it so be warned.
Oh I'll be up in the Boston area (Easton) this weekend for a wedding sunday, if I have time I'll stop on by the usual LSU viewing spot. Thinking I'm gonna be a bit busy though...

Thanks, Cuse.
We'll be at the BT on Saturday. Swing by and have a beer if you get the notion.
