Struggling to stay awake, but I'm following.

Honestly, I may not stay awake for long because following on twitter will just make me crave wanting to watch the game

My friends who live near Newcastle, where the game is being played, just texted me a pic of them at the game. Wearing their LSU shirts I gave them! I'd post the picture, but you guys are assholes...

Looks like it was a pretty fast-paced game. Newcastle put up 75 shots! I doubt there were a ton of half court sets

Hornsby is just solid. You can almost book it that he will get double-figure scoring every night

It looks like Simmons has the ball a ton, and he attacked the basket when he did. 11 FTs

LSU got out rebounded. Not surprising, but they need Victor ASAP.

Robinson - only 2 points. But he had 6 rebounds in 12 minutes. We don't need him to be a scorer, but he's got to have a presence in the paint. It looks like he did, at least on the glass

Newcastle had 34 points in the paint. I'm worried that interior defense/rebounding will be LSU's Achilles heel.

Blakeney had a very good all around game, especially with 5 rebounds. The guards are going to have to help out in that dept.

Best stat for LSU - only 9 TOs. With LSU's fast pace style, I can live with 9 per game

How many LSU players have gotten a double double in their first game as a true freshman? Pretty impressive.

Would have felt a lot better if Elbert and Darcy's minutes were swapped. Robinson has to be a contributer if we want a shot at making a deep run

This trip is going to be great for these young Tigers. Interesting stat for Sommons. He committed one foul but the other team had to use eight fouls on him. Football hasn't even started and I'm fired up for basketball.

Overall have to be happy. Have to admit i find getting substantially outrebounded is a little worriesome to a team like that. But obviously we have some gelling to do and the addition of victor before sec play will be huge.

Six rebounds incl an OR for ERIII in 12 minutes.

That's encouraging and nice to see.

It looks like our big center has decent hands and can pass. Will he ever get into the kind of shape to get up and down the floor though? I'll say this...he's huge! Makes Simmons look small.
