I think most people are in the Harris camp not because of some belief that he is some sort of Savior, but more that he is not Anthony Jennings, who put up some spectacularly awful numbers last season. Harris has shown flashes of both good and bad, but the verdict is still very much out on him.
Jennings, I'm afraid, the verdict is in. He's not very good. It is very, very rare for a QB to post numbers as bad as he did and ever develop into a good QB. Even Boykin, sort of the patron saint of terrible young QB's who blossom into Heisman contenders, still had a 57.2% completion percentage in his disastrous first year.

Harris will be fine this year. I have seen plenty freshman thrown into the fire and struggle. Especially at his position. Jennings has hit his ceiling. Dont forget, the receivers didnt help out much in big games. If Quinn doesnt drop the ball on 3rd down twice late in the Bama game, we win. Same with Dural getting pushed around all year, only helped us on deep balls. I think we will see much improvement with Harris and the maturing of his receivers.
