Being that the cops showed up to do a Wel-fare check probaly means the killer knew them . But now I just want to see if these " Black lives matter" . And if not, then none of them matter to me either.

This is hpd we're talking about. They probably pulled back and set up a speed trap.

So you are for equipping every patrol officer with the necessary equipment and training to handle a barricaded active shooter?
Think about something, these cops backed out and formed a perimeter. Would you rather they go in, under- equipped and under trained only to become additional casualties and the suspect have the opportunity to flee?
Half the people want police demilitarized and now you want every patrol officer equipped and trained to Seal Team 6 level
Ftr, we train every POST certified officer how to work with a small entry team on how to handle active shooter situations at schools and public buildings. It's valuable teaching but in reality only a small handful of them that I would trust to make an entry with.

Basically I'm asking them to put the lives of the citizens over their own lives.
Since it sounds like the 8 people were already dead, you're really just asking the cops to die for no reason.
Brilliant plan.

The cops didn't know they were all dead

This is asinine.
Lets say hypothetically the victims weren't all dead, and the shooter has them in a room somewhere. Regular cops just charging in could precipitate the shooter to kill them all.

they received fire and...not knowing how many were in the house and how heavily armed...they called in SWAT.
look...i know theres a lot of cop haters on this board but this is just a stupid argument. situations like this are exactly why there are SWAT teams. dude killes 8 people...5 kids..and y'all are already making the cops out to be the bad guys ridiculous
Had he been unarmed the police would have raided the house next door, killed an old lady and a dog while flash banging a toddler.

Swat didnt save anyone's life but the murderer's. The cops on the the seen should have cleared the building.
They just wanted to make it home to their families. They protect and serve themselves first.

So Dark Knight shows up to save the day and then gets 8 murders pinned on him?
Bruce always gets the short end of the stick

Easily the dumbest entry of the thread and I'd bet it will be dumbest of the day.
People were killed. Lives matter.

Are we starting to get so use to hearing about these things that we are growing cold? Has what has happened throughout the country made people so angry that they just don't care? 8 deaths. How much news coverage will this get? And why would it when there are murders everyday in every major city in the US. The only lives that matter are the ones when a white kills a black, or a cops dies. Soldiers dying regardless of race is not newsworthy. Do these 8 lives really matter to you personally?

Guess we need to ban the batman symbol.
That evil symbol, much like the rebel flag, is the reason for all this.

Who the hell can kill 5 kids like that?? Hope this gets the death penalty and gets it asap.
More details emerging...
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – David Conley has been charged with three counts of capital murder after eight people were found dead in a northwest Harris County home ( reported to be 2211 Falling Oaks Rd, Houston, TX 77038)
One capital murder count covers multiple deaths. Another is for a person under 6 years of age,
It's not yet clear what the relationship was between the Conley and the victims, and a motive for the crime has not been determined.
"At this time we have what appears to be five children and three adults," said Gilliland. "Ages and genders we do not have, and cause of death we do not have. The medical examiner will have to determine a cause of death."
The sheriff’s office will be holding a 3 p.m. press conference to provide more information

Hmmm, could this be him? LINK Arrested in 2013 for assaulting a family member. It was also in Harris county and shows a birth year of 1966.
Also the link in my post above shows a mugshot from 2013 in Harris County.
So it appears this guy has been assaulting family members before. (That is if I am right on putting this together)

UPDATE: During a press conference held at the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Chief Deputy Tim Cannon stated that the deceased victims were counted as six children and two adults. The victims ranged in age from six to fifty. Two of the victims were female and six were male. The deceased family members were identified as: Valerie Jackson, 40; her husband Duane Jackson, 50; and their six children – Nathaniel, Honesty, Duane, Jr., Caleb, Trinity and Jonna. (Spelling of names were not given at this time.) Initial reports stated there were five children and three adults killed. During the press conference, it was revealed that there were three calls for a welfare check, possibly including one call reporting a man with a gun. Cannon responded that the deputies did not have enough information to make entry into the home until the discovery of the first child’s body. Cannon called the killings a senseless tragedy.

Are you asking me? Read again. What he wrote is stupid. My reply has absolutely nothing to do with the questions you ask.
