I disagree. I lived at home all 5 years of college (yes it took me 5 years.. Ha ha look at the idiot). I still went out on weekends and stayed over at a friends house that lived near campus. But during the week I was going to class and studying. Going home every night. Sure I feel sometimes that maybe I missed out on something's but in the end it's better. I walked out of college completely debt free making $70k a year. I don't regret it at all.

The best parts of college aren't the big parties on thurs. fri. and sat. they are a group of guys getting randomly drunk on a whim on a tuesday and ending up fricked up lost and degenerate at a pizza place on the wrong side of town.
You can still go out and party on the weekends as an adult, the spontaneous fun at all hours of the day and night is something fairly specific to college, and living at home is not conducive to that.

Did you ever getting the nagging feeling your friends resented you saving money by crashing at their place every weekend? Doesn't matter how good a friend if you do that for a couple years they will be unable to not harbor some sentiment that you are taking advantage of them.
