You've all been on the edge of your seats waiting for this. The good news is that the Bundi will be more available in America than ever before so you guys can finally tell if I've been full of shite this entire time.

1. Bayern Munich: Projected champion, one of the best 3 or 4 teams in the world.

Departures:

Bastian Scweinsteiger - Fußballgot is a Bayern legend who unfortunately lost all ability to stay healthy. Losing Schweiny is devastating for long time fans but he wasn't a reliable option any more due to his shoddy ankles.

Pepe Reina - who gives a frick

Mitchell Weiser - pacy young player who could have provided depth at wingback. Not really Bayern material though.

Additions:

Arturo Vidal - one of the best midfielders in the world, will be a huge addition to Bayern Munich and ought to allow Lahm and Alaba to play more fullback which is huge in and of itself.

Douglas Costa - Costa has looked incredible so far for Bayern. He's a perfect Ribery replacement, since Ribs can't stay healthy. He's very fast and a really good dribbler, adds a dimension Bayern was missing when Robben and Ribery were hurt. Solid chance to be one of the best signing in Europe if he gets consistent playing time. He has star written all over him.

Joshua Kimmich - very good young center mid. Pep has already said he will play a role this season. One of Germany's best young players.

Sven Ulreich - good enough to start at GK for plenty of teams in Europe. Will be a very solid backup.

2. VfL Wolfsburg: I really believe they have a good shot at winning the Bundi this year especially if they keep De Bruyne. KDB and Andre Schurrle are very good in attack and if they can get consistent play from their strikers, they can make some serious noise.

They added Max Kruse and Andre Schurrle this summer. They also signed Ricardo Rodriguez's little brother Francisco who looked pretty good when I saw them play. Really like their team.

3. Borussia Dortmund: Really down year last year. They've gotten rid of some dead weight transfers that didn't work in Immobile and Jojic and locked up Aubameyang for the long term. They also brought in Kevin Kampl who is a capable player. Gonzalo Castro was a very astute signing. Their biggest addition though is Thomas Tuchel. Tuchel is my favorite manager going right now. I think he's one of the most brilliant minds in European soccer and he's on his way to being a huge name.

4. Borussia Monchengladbach: They were perhaps the best team in the Bundesliga after the Winter Break last season. I'm excited about watching them play again this year. Tough losing Max Kruse but they should be fine with Josip Drmic.

I love their midfield, a whole lot of talented players in Granit Xhaka, Patrick Herrmann, Fabian Johnson, Thorgan Hazard, Raffael, Nordtveit among others. Real fun team to watch and Lucien Favre is a really solid manager.

Outside of the Champions League spots, it'll be interesting to see if Schalke can try not to bit shite this year. Augsburg was very surprising too, wonder if they can repeat. I'd like to see Stuttgart make a jump since they play so many young players. Hopefully Hamburg finally goes down.

You may now discuss.

Besides Vidal and Costa, which transfer into the Bundesliga do you think makes the biggest impact?

If these guys do well I'm going to start watching BL. Liverpool and BM have had a very, very close relationship since the the European Cup final in 1977. Each team's fans make an annual trip to the one of the other's big league games. The BM ultras even have a corner dedicated to Liverpool in their bar. Its very common to see banners paying tribute to the other's club regardless of whether it is a game between the two or not.

Pretty cool stuff. I'd love to become a fan.

You're right. Thought it was an extended loan.

Into the Bundesliga? Hmm, that's tough. Not many huge moves from outside of the Bundi into the league. A lot of movement into the league. I think for transfers made within, Franco Di Santo could be a huge get for Schalke.

I will be interested in Schalke's transfer moves before the window closes. Juve have not given up on getting Draxler, and Southampton are rumored to be pursuing Goretzka.

Give them some love. They're a lot of fun to watch. Fabian played a lot in the second half of the year when they got hot. Favre implements a fun style too. They have some serious young talent in their midfield and Raffael is a really underrated entertaining guy

Hope they can keep both as well as Max Meyer. They grow insanely talented young players on trees there but they're so inept in management.

This is why I picked them as my Bundesliga team about 2-3 years ago. Once they bought Fab, I completely bought in.

Costa looked fantastic in the SuperCup match...his quickness is insane. I also loved how he launched some quick passes into the box, especially in the first half...once he and Lewy get some rhythm, that could be deadly. I'm sure Pep hated it because it occasionally resulted in a turnover but it was a breath of fresh air. He and Arjen provide a ton of speed on the wings.

Wolves look great again. While they've proven they can beat Bayern straight-up, I feel FCB is better over the full B-liga season, especially when it comes to wins and goal differential. Wolves may have a few more draws than Bayern in in the end. Still, an tremendous team that can make some noise in Europe.

I'm interested to see how quickly Tuchel will take to mold BVB into his own style of team. If it's quick, look out for them as a dark horse.

I like Drmic, but not sold totally on Gladbach. Their defense gave up a ton of shots last season (most didn't go in admittedly). I know that's their style, to press when the ball is pulled back near their own box...I'm just saying it's dangerous. (Then again so is playing a back-three when Lahm wants to push higher...)

Yeah, it's one reason why I have them at 4 instead of 3 but aren't they fun to watch because of it?

There's definitely some truth to that...entertaining brand of fußball out west.

Completely missed Bayern signing Douglas Costa. That's a fantastic pickup.

I know you left them out because #Neverkusen, Hendo, but did Bayer do anything major this summer? Their breakneck offense was something else last season, and there's a chance United have to play them in the UCL playoffs.

I know how great a CL year he had last year, but Costa's quickness was an eye opener for me in the Super Cup.

Vidal is the bigger name (and the enforcer in the middle which Bayern needs, Xabi is too slow and too polite) and if he keeps his attitude in check could be a great fit....but Costa has been a shot in the arm with Franck missing so much time.

Pep just needs to figure how to play Müller/Götze in the middle and find the right way to use Thiago.

Have been using Leverkusen a bit on FIFA lately solely for Hakan Çalhanoglu's free kick and distance shooting abilities. My friends called bullshite on some guy they had never heard of being one of the best free kick takers in the game. Pulled up this video which was proceeded by jaws hitting the floor, especially on the one against Dortmund when he was still at HSV.

LINK

Have kinda followed Bayern because of GolTV carrying their games but I'm probably gonna start rooting for Monchengladbach because of Fab and the Liverpool tie-in.

Dude scares the crap out of me...über talented, and lethal in a free kick scenario.

At the same time I think Neverkusen is going in the wrong direction overall, and I like Kießling a lot...Schalke is young & will be good very soon; BVB, Wolves and Gladbach are becoming the class of the league for the time being. Augsburg/Stuttgart will sniff the top of the table but it's not realistic.
