PSG's midfield is Stambouli and Rabiot who are nothing special. Di Maria who is overrated, Matuidi a good Ligue 1 player. Verratti is awesome I know, but he will be back in Italy soon.
ETA - Pastore and Lucas are good, but Mkhitaryan is better than both of them.

Btw Bender is real good and not even a Dortmund starter. Weigl is ahead of him.

I'm not crazy about Mkhitaryan. He's made highlight plays when I've watched Shaktar or Dortmund but he's never consistently impressed when against top teams.
To me he's no more consistent than Di Maria but Di Maria does have some of his best games on the biggest stages.
All the Brazilians were always the impressive ones for Shaktar when I saw them play (which I admit was only bigger matches but still that's when it matters most).
I think Pastore is an absolutely fantastic player.
However, in rating the midfields, I'm a bit less concerned about these attacking guys and more with how the "meat" of the midfield controls the match.
The attacking guys for all these clubs are good enough to get their assists etc if the defensive/box to box mids set the scene.
Maybe some of the difference of opinion comes down to that.
I think that's where PSG is pretty impressive. Verratti is amazing but also Matuidi and the ever-underrated Thiago Motta really work well together and Rabiot looks pretty good as well.

Motta is a washed up piece of shite. He's good in Ligue1, but Atletico turned his arse down. Pastore was good at Palermo, but he isn't as good as say...Kondogbia. Basically PSG had Vertatti, who is maybe equal to Mkhitaryan.

We have vastly differing views on midfield qualities.

Mkhitaryan produces in the 2nd best league in the world. Vertatti plays in France against no competition.

Veratti, fricking auto correct.

wasn't he seen as a bust last year? i know he's been impressive this year, but he is flashy and inconsistent
he needs much more continuity to be considered on that level
and it's really hard to compare a DLP like veratti to an AM like mkhit. as stated earlier, the "meat" of the PSG midfield is a nice mix. you have some gritty defensive guys like matuidi and motta, and you have some good distribution via veratti. rabiot seems like he's coming along well on both levels. then the more attack-minded guys like pastore, AdM, and lucas bring different levels of dangers for defenses

I would say that you're better than this, but you aren't

The French champions are looking to make it five wins from five before they start their UEFA Champions League campaign next week, but they will have to do it without Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Javier Pastore -- initially at least.
Both players have been ruled out of the PSG squad for the visit from Willy Sagnol and his Girondins. The super Swede was injured on international duty against Russia -- although he played the full 90 minutes and scored in a 4-1 home defeat to Austria just three days later -- and the Argentina international has been unavailable since he picked up a knock in the 1-0 win away at Montpellier HSC.
Ibrahimovic is expected to be fit to welcome his formative club, Malmo, to Parc des Princes next week, but Pastore's return date remains unclear. Regardless, Blanc has an otherwise full strength squad at his disposal on Friday.
Surely Zlatan resting up for CL against his homeland team

I think you, like me, are thinking of center mid... not necessarily the attacking mid.. (maybe I'm wrong on your thoughts)...
and I think Matuidi is highly under rated... fantastic player!

Its so hard to compare Pastore and Kondogbia... two extreme ends of the MF spectrum...
That said, Kondogbia is more potential than what he's actually done on the pitch, so far... I think he's going to be really good though.. he's still raw IMO

Yeah, it seems comparing midfields often mixes up attacking mids with center/box to box and defensive mids a bit too much and the danger there is that Ljajic can become a better "midfielder" than Busquets in terms of "production".
I agree that Matuidi is extremely good and, along with Verratti, why I think pretty highly of PSG's midfield based on watching how they function together as a unit both attacking and defending against the bigger clubs in CL like Barcelona, Chelsea (when they were running rough shot over everyone last season) etc. . .
I also find deeper midfielders that do the "little things" which often don't make highlights like tackling / being in the right spot to break up play and finding the right angles to pass to the attacking mids in perfect positions for them to excel are my favorite players to watch. So there's some bias.
