- Delvin Breaux is running with the one's at nickel. That looks to be his best fit on this defense, though he looks more than capable of playing the outside as well.
Loving the Breaux hype.
Looking at the CB position, keeping 5 or 6?
Browner
Lewis
Breaux
SJB
Williams
Swann
Dixon
Terrence
Wilson

I guess this is the part where we pretend that everyone didn't say he was a project coming out of college and label him a worthless bust after one season where he wasn't expected to contribute much anyway.
Oh, I get it. It's training camp.
Kool-aid for everyone, I guess.

Hopefully Swann gets on practice squad.

Saints front office did him a service by not throwing him out to the wolves. I think his confidence would have gotten destroyed if he had to go in. Experience is important, but getting beat repeatedly doesn't help build a players confidence at all.
I agree with that. It also takes different technique & a different mindset to play corner at his height. He simply can't change directions like some of the shorter corners can. Having someone like Brandon Browner to lean on for advice or watch at practice is also huge. Browner has mastered how play at that height. I think taking advice & applying what he has learned from Brandon is a huge reason for his turnaround as well.

You haven't heard? Players don't develop or mature as they gain experience. It's over after one season if they don't play up to every fans expectation as a rookie. I still don't see how we ever got anything out of that inconsistent son of a bitch Drew Brees when he was signed away from the Chargers as a free agent. Plus his shoulder was shot to shite. Stop drankin da Kool Aid bruh. It taste nasty anyway.

SJB isn't even gonna make the team, man.

SJB is definitely making this team. If Toon made it last season then SJB will be as well.

I guess this is the part where we pretend that we were okay with a 2nd rounder playing all of 5 snaps in a season where the defense was horrible and could've used something, anything different?

I think you can go either way with Swann or Dixon as the 6th CB. I'm not going to make any predictions yet, but I feel a lot better about this group than I did last year's at this point.

Lewis
Browner
Breaux
Williams
SJB
Dixon/Swann
Having Dennis Allen, Lewis and Browner showing these guys the ropes bodes well for this year

Loving Breaux. I'm really rooting for him, much like everyone else, I'm sure.
SJB should spend as much time as possible studying Browner. I would think his best bet is to emulate Browner's playing style. He definitely has the physical attributes and ball-skills to make it happen.

Serious question: will breaux play special teams for us? pretty big loss if he doesn't.

I'm just hoping he makes the team.

ain't a joke question, its a legitimate question since special teams has the highest tackle danger or however you want to call it.
