It's good. But don't think it's going to replace traditional cooking methods. Use it as another tool in your belt, and you'll be fine.

Dooshay bought one. I can't wait for him to post threads about it.

There's been a few threads on cooks with them.

I did a chicken breast last night which was the first time using the device... it really is awesome and so easy.
I wanted to pop my cherry with the chicken before I do a steak

i love the device so far. only drawback i've heard from people is the time it takes to do everything, but i think if you're already planning to sous vide something, then time is a non factor.

I thought I wish I had this sooner. I set it up, turned the temp to 149F and bluetoothed it. I sat on the porch drinking and listening to music and then put the chicken in for over an hour.
Didn't have to mess with shite until I seared it on the grill along with roasting some corn

I'm sold.
Made great steaks last week.
And one of the best burgers I have ever eaten - and I suck at making burgers cooked on the grill.

let's get an all-in-one sous vide thread going, with recipes and pics.
i find that some people here hate the threads bc there's a few new ones every day with pics and shite. that's frowned upon here for some reason.

I remember thinking I will not a do a burger like this because I thought it will be weird. I suck at cooking a good burger as well.
what was your temp and how long?

I went 142 degrees (medium plus - cooking for my daughters) for right at one hour. Burgers were a little over 1" thick.
