LSU was petitioning to get him eligible immediately. Sucks that he can't play to start the season.

Well the good news is he wont miss but half the OOC games. The bad news is he cant play in the australia games and earn some valuable experience playing alongside his teammates in open competition.

I thought Johnny Jones said he could play in Australia since they aren't NCAA games?

The article says he can't play or practice there. It was almost impossible for him to even attend. Damn NCAA.

Usually transfers can practice with the team, but can't play, or travel to away games. Even though Victor can't play until December, he's probably been at most of the practices since transferring here.

I'm pretty sure he can practice and play in Australia. I think it was Malcolm white who was able to play. Same deal

He will have to sit out next a full year, but he's set to enroll in class this month and then be eligible after the spring semester begins next year - right at the beginning of conference play.
Nobody should have been counting on the hardship being granted

Ok people. Nobody was counting on it but it's not like there wasn't a chance it would have been approved. Thank yall for stating the obvious.

Coach Jones was just on ESPN Radio and I thought me made an interesting comment about this. Said he was appreciative of the NCAA for allowing him to go. They will act like he's on injured reserve while in Australia. He will be on the bench but will not play or practice (while in Australia).
He said they will need Robinson, Malone, and Epps to step up in his absence. Found it telling that he bunched Epps into this group. After having him practicing on the perimeter last year, I think the 6'10" Epps is getting moved inside for the time being. Should be a welcomed move for both parties seeing the depth we have on the perimeter this year.
