Here's my predictions

2016

Mike Piazza
Ken Griffey Jr.

Piazza received nearly 70% of the votes this year. It'll be a major surprise if he doesn't cross the 75% threshold next year. Griffey's a no-brainer for obvious reasons.

2017

Jeff Bagwell
Tim Raines

Bagwell and Raines both received 55% of the votes this year. It's pretty much a given they'll get in. It's just a matter of when. 2017 will be a pretty slow year so I like both Raines and Piazza's chances of getting in to clear up some room on future ballots.

2018

Jim Thome
Chipper Jones
Curt Schilling

Chipper's a no-doubt first ballot HOFer. I'm not as sure about Thome getting in on the first ballot but I'll say yes due to his personality. Thome was well-known as one of the nicest guys in baseball and was a great player to boot. I think he'll get in either on the first or second ballot. And I see Schilling getting in. Schilling's vote has been lowered due to five pitchers being voted into the HOF (Smoltz, Pedro, Glavine, Maddux, Johnson) the last couple years. With the exception of Clemens, there won't be any pitchers as good as him being on the ballot in the near future so I see his vote count really rising and he'll eventually get in by 2018.

2019

Mariano Rivera
Roy Halladay
Vladimir Guerrero

Mo's the greatest closer of all-time and Halladay is the best starting pitcher from his generation. I see Guerrero getting in after waiting for a few years.

Vlad is a HOF. Doc is debatable.

Thome was a great power hitter of his era NOT tied to roids, no doubt that he gets in at some point IMO.

Why not? He is probably one of the best 30 or so hitters of all-time.

People just assume he juiced because of his numbers and he played with guys that juiced like Ken Caminiti.

That is sadly probably the truth, but that is stupid and irresponsible. Anyone who doesn't vote for him because of that should lose their vote. I'm not saying he definitely didn't juice, but I or no one else has any proof whatsoever that he did.

Just don't think he is. Very good player. I mean if you just look at the numbers, it is a strong case, but you have to consider the era in which he played in which all numbers were inflated. His vote percentage wasn't even at it's peak. There is nothing wrong with the career he had, was great. But there has to be a cut off. And I believe he is the cutoff.

Yep, people have been spoiled with ten inductees the past 2 years.

Pettitte isn't borderline, he's not a HOF in the slightest. Dude has a career ERA of 3.85 (3.74 FIP).

Roy and Curt will be interesting to see if they wind up being HOF. If they do get in it opens the doors for quite a number of other pitchers from this era.

203 wins in a 15 year career is hardly a slam dunk when you are talking about HOF voters in MLB.

Who knows. They let Biggio in, could be a number of mediocre players.
