Now 2006, was a true choke. Catholic had D1 lineman but a kicker who couldn't make an extra point against Acadiana in the semis
Wilford journet . Best high school game while I was at acadiana
This game still gives me nightmares. I was on that '06 team. Piss poor play-calling in the 4th quarter. Zone right 4 times in a row for the 2 minute drill. Patch (RB) was gassed after the second one. This is the game that made me stop caring about football. Sure I still played my senior year but it just wasn't the same.
It takes a special QB to execute the spin offense. Weiner hasn't had that since Ryan Lewis.
There will probably be a Weiner at Catholic for the next 20 years after Dale gives the keys to the bus to Neil.

From what I've heard Fertita is basically the coach in waiting. Had Catholic won state this year Weiner would have retired and Fertita would have taken over.
