It ain't just coaching. Look at the D1 talent Weat Monroe puts out. A ton of lineman
Look at the talent Catholic puts out. A ton of skill position players
Those lineman used to eat Catholic alive. Vince Lombardi couldn't have coached them to a win.
Now 2006, was a true choke. Catholic had D1 lineman but a kicker who couldn't make an extra point against Acadiana in the semis

And that is by design.
The great teams, like West Monroe, Acadiana, John Curtis puts lots of time & effort into developing both their offensive & defensive lines.(Same can be said of college & pro).
The great football coaches will tell you that it all starts at the line of scrimmage.
If a team can win at the line of scrimmage, its going to be hard to beat them.
It is a head coaches responsibility to develop both the offensive and defensive lines.
