Should LF7 Play Both Ways?

Given the lack of depth at middle linebacker, should Buga Nation be playing both ways? Adding depth to this position is key so it helps the team. Also, if his goal is to win the Hiesman Trophy, it only helps if his stats look like this.
1,500 yds Rushing, 15 TDs
500 yds Receiving, 3 TDs
30 TTs, 3 Sacks, 1 INT
Plus anything he does on Punt & KO Return.

I wouldn't have him play both ways. I would still use him on kickoffs. He was a runaway freight train at the end of the year.
