Houston radio host Jayson Braddock reports Foster is a candidate for injured reserve/designated to return. That would keep Foster out until Week 10. Foster is no stranger to groin issues, missing two games with one in 2014. Foster remained one of the league's best backs last season, but soft-tissue injuries have begun to take their toll. He's having more and more trouble staying on the field. Alfred Blue was Foster's 2014 backup, but must hold off Jonathan Grimes, Chris Polk and Kenny Hilliard for the duties this season. It's a competition that will be settled on the field in the preseason. Aug 4 - 1:48 PM

Exactly

regardless Foster is liable to get hurt if the wind shifts, that's the risk you take in drafting him.

I'm just glad that mock draft we did doesn't count. The Foster injury could have been a disaster. When the hell is the real draft getting started? Middle of day 2 and no pick yet. I know it's a slow draft, but damn....

If it makes you feel better you would have picked him yesterday.

Maybe. Then again, after the additional time/reports I may have taken CJ Anderson in the 1st like I almost did and gone WR/Gronk in the 2nd.

We'll never know.

The next 2 guys on my list are big injury risks............................................................................................................................................................as much as I want to go the other direction, I gotta have a RB.

This was my comment when I drafted Foster, so it's not like this is a huge surprise. We all knew it was a high risk/high reward pick.

Better that he gets hurt now than play 1 of week 1. I've held my own with injured stars before. A couple of my other risky picks have to hit now.

I had him on the block with the notion they would sign him . I have enough backs that will catch 60 balls

Looks like he isn't signing after all. Didn't like the contract terms
