Letting my son cook skirt steak and corn... (with pics)

My son is home from college, and he asked me to show him how to cook his favorite meal - skirt steak and corn. It's an easy meal, with only three ingredidents (if you don't count salt, pepper seasonings, and the pan lubricant).
He took some skirt steaks - these were the biggest, thickest skirt steaks I've ever used.
He seasoned the steaks with kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper.
He put a tablespoon of EVOO in the cast iron pan over med-high heat(He had two pans going), and added a half tablespoon of butter right before putting the steaks on.
He cooked hem for a few minutes, before flipping them.
While the steaks were cooking, he sliced the corn off 4 ears of corn, being careful not to leave a digit in the bowl. He also cut up 4 green onions and added them to the corn.
Once the steaks were done, he added the corn and green onions to the steak juice in the cast iron pan. He poured the juices from the second pan over the top of the corn and mixed them up. He only cooked the corn for a couple of minutes - al dente.
Finally, he cut the steak and ladled some corn over the top of the steak. He did a great job!

He wants to impress the babes at the school he goes to.
I think that good looking girls are such a rarity where he goes to school that he needs all the help he can get...
