Only winners drive Mustang GT's

I feel like I missed a joke when I went to lunch. This is at least the second reference to that. What's the joke?

I have an 07. zero problems ever. The suspension rolls a bit and the acceleration is very sensitive but it is a beast and a very nice vehicle.

Cons: Price
Obviously it will not ride like a car based SUV. Often purchasers in this market are shocked and react negatively to a body-on-frame SUV riding like a body-on-frame SUV.
It is not great on fuel economy.
However, this is your Lexus variant of the 4Runner, with significant capabilities and Toyota's bulletproof, legendary reliability. If I were shopping in that segment, that's my candidate to beat (or a loaded 4Runner - it would be close between those 2 just because of my own Toyota bias).
(ETA: A mid-00s LX remains the nicest, quietest vehicle in which I've ever ridden.)

It's from yesterday. An OT balla was bragging about buying his 15yr old Taekwondo World Champ a $45K Mustang GT with his disability money. The OT went to work as usual.

You nailed my thoughts on it so far.

That thread is more than a day old, but I get it now. Thanks
ETA: Didn't even realize that was a follow up thread, just assumed by the number of pages he changed his original thread's title. Guess I was too busy at work to see that thread that day

I would drive one. Guy I work with has one and I like it a lot.
Of course, traditionally, it's also been one of the only ways to get a 4runner without a fricking soviet-styled interior.

Just interested in good value, dependability and a decent interior. No set budget at the moment.

8 yrs old is the first con coming to mind.

Yeah. That doesn't bother me with certain vehicles. These age will imo, unless there is a specific issue you are referring to. I know they need a costly timing belt replacement about every 90k.

Look at 2008/2009 LX. Much better ride than the GX and same gas mileage and much more
