I think the show slowed down a little in this season, but the books were better. Doesn't mean it isn't good.

D&D miss the source material badly, I'm really hoping GRRM can pull a miracle and finish WoW before next spring.
I'd rather he make sure it's better than his last two.

This Ain't Game of Thrones XXX
Evan Stone shows us his take on Tyrion Lannister as he corrals himself into a tall bed and then proceeds to cream pie Sansa.

So they made another porn parody after Game of Bones?

I haven't found that the changes from the book are that bothersome. Some I think were very good choices (deleting Young Griff and all the Shy Maid stuff for example). Some I am neutral on (leaving out Lady Stone Heart for example). Some I would have liked for them to keep closer to the book (Frey Pie for example).
But overall I think they've done a pretty good job hewing close to the books but not making the mistake of trying to do an impossible exact match with them.
However, I do think that they have made some missteps in execution which are kind of worrying for future seasons. For example, I don't mind them having Stannis on an arc to where he burns his daughter (and Selyse to where she tries to stop it) but for me it was done clunckily with sudden jarring reversals of character for both of them. Same with Allister Thorne with the whole letting he wildlings in and THEN deciding to kill Jon. If they wanted Thorne as part of the "For the Watch" scene, ok. But they just didn't execute it well in my opinion. Even the threat of the Sparrows and the Faith Militant wasn't done convincingly IMO.
And tons has been written and said about Dorne. I'm not sure what happened there. I'm guessing some time in the future we'l hear about a 2nd production unit or something that was not up to snuff.

Those were some pretty nice tits, though.

Anyone find it ridiculous that the argument that it was a good season relies on one episode?
I don't agree with this. Calling it terrible based on 1 episode isn't fair either (Dorne was an unmitigated disaster). I think it is fair to say that quality dropped, but the season was not a disaster. It was good - the Arya/House of Black and White stuff was good. The Sparrows were good (Jonathan Pryce is the best casting decision they've made since Emma Peel, IMHO - and we got a scene with them together).
Dorne was really, really bad. It happens.

I feel like people overlook this a lot. And let's not forget that the book has shown zero tits in five books!

Agree with a lot of that.
I would liked to see more on the discussions between the nights watch re: wildlings vs white walkers vs we're fricked. It just didn't make sense that they couldn't understand the situation to the point of killing snow over it. Discontent and grumbling, yes, but not mutiny. Are they that stupid or was snow that bad of a communicator that he couldn't convince them of the real danger?

So the OP is about some but hurt book reader that still hasn't grasped the concept that the books and TV Show are two completely different mediums? Got it.

The intro to either book 4 or 5, the 'alchemist' that kills Pod, is that really Jaqen H'ghar? Or is that something I read too much into?

Haven't read a single book and this season wasn't that good. The show as a whole is vastly overrated by most although it is a solid show.
