How do people with mansions keep up their house?

I know some people who recently bought a very large house. It's at least 7000 square feet with a guest host in addition. Holy shite. It is such a money pit. They have multiple problems a month. 7 air conditioning units that are always having problems, ice maker problems, pipe problems, a bad roof leak that was going to in attic (so wasn't noticed until lots of damage had been done), crazy pool problems, and more that I can't recall.
I feel like someone always has to be at that house to deal with service calls. It sounds like a total nightmare, and I can't imagine ever wanting to own a house like that. It seems like every problem they have is impossible to foresee coming and ends up costing thousands.
It makes me wonder if celebrities in huge houses are constantly dealing with bullshite like that. I currently live in an apartment, so I don't have to deal with the house life, and in college the house I lived in was incredible. 50 year old house that rarely had problems.
Sorry if I'm rambling, I'm just sick of hearing the bitching over this fricking house that it feels like these people own just to say they own it.

They have maids, butlers, maintenance staff, etc to deal with all that.

Just because it's big and expensive doesn't mean it was quality built.

Most "true" mansions/estates have ancillary staff to thake care of the upkeep /maintenance.

That's why my wife and I are always on the look out for the smallest, most efficient house possible that we can live in comfortably. We don't want to spend our precious free time on keeping up a big house or yard. Plus, we just don't feel cozy in large, open home spaces.

As a rule of thumb, the upkeep for mansions annually is typically 10% of the original purchase price of the home. I would not want a house of that size unless I was married with about 10 kids. That is unlikely at this point. 2,000 - 3,000 square feet is perfect sized.

This is not a "mansion" problem, this is a poor construction problem. Idiot.

U.S. realtors define a mansion as a dwelling of over 7,000 square feet (650 m2).
Per Google.

They have someone that takes care of all that for them. They may not even know the problem exists.

We have people in our neck of the woods that apparently overspent on their houses - probably in the vicinity of 800- 1 million dollar houses. They either cant afford to keep up the outside or they dont care to. Cobwebs, over-grown gardens, yards a mess - but huge beautiful houses (until u drive up and get a closer look.) Almost all are democrats.
