Why does everyone have to film firework shows?

It's not like anybody actually goes home and watches it.

It's for the same reason people film concerts. What that reason is, I don't know. But it's the same reason.

Ha. Film. Reminds me of that thread a while back about phrases that are outdated. But to answer, because people have to let other people on social media know that they were doing something because everyone cares about what everyone is doing every fricking second of the day! For some reason people think this.

I completely disagree. Concerts are fun to watch on tv/computer to see how different a band plays theirs songs. Its also cool just to see them play. It doesnt have to be in person.

What's worse is people that take pictures of fireworks. Who in the hell wants to see a picture of that?
I was at sugar mill pond last night near lafayette and you should have seen the Affliction wearing crowd with their Samsung galaxies out in full force videoing and taking pics of fireworks.

circa 1995, I watched a dad at 6 flags with a big arse camcorder film a whole "Wild West shoot out" skit by a bunch of college workers. He was working the camera like it was serious shite.
I often wonder if the day ever arrived when a member of the family said, "hey, Dad, let's watch that shitty Wild West skit from 6 flags!"

Yes, that's why they take the videos. To carefully research how the band plays a song.

Woman next to me thought she was filming- following them going up, zooming in and out, the works- good 5 minutes.
Problem was the clock remained at 0:00 the whole time. Until she clicked again and it started ticking and she put the phone in her pocket.
I should've said something since i noticed almost immediately that she missed the button to start it but I really didn't like her.
