Danger of wifi/router to a baby...

I posted this on the Tech Board but obviously it will get a lot more action here...
Is it dangerous to have my router under the crib where my kid sleeps? Tough to get an answer trying to look online, just wondering if anyone here has any idea on the matter?
If it is bad how would I go about moving it?

Not at all.

Mine is under the crib. She's not growing any apendages.

Unless the kid winds a wire around his/her neck there is zero danger.
That said, having the router under the crib will probably hurt its performance.

Yes. Think of it as a cell tower. The Higher it is in the air the further the connections travels. It's like a dome. Under a crib or any obstacles such as walls or doors greatly reduces the signal strength.

I just hope your kid uses its superpowers for good and not evil.

i'm a infrastructure/server engineer and i would birth my kid on top of a server or switch without thinking twice man. stop reading dumb shite on the internet, your kid is fine.
eta: i mean think about. nowadays. your kid isn't going to be more than 10 feet away from an electronic device their entire life.

Pick "it" up by its ears?
Strange to call your kid "it" though.

The radioactive waves from the router will make your kid ultra smart. On the downside he/she age at double the rate of a human and be dead by 35.

Just put filters on the kids laptop/ipad and it should help your kid from not going to sites the kid shouldn't.

To the OP, my advise is to not do it.
Whether or not it is bad for the kid, it will obviously bother you.
Under a crib is not an ideal position for a router, anyway.
Find a new place to put the router and deal with it.

A lot of electromagnetic radiation for a baby. But it may make him somewhat superhuman down the road. It's tough having an infant. I thought every breath was going to be his last. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

What is the purpose of having it under the crib in the first place?
