The precedence has been set....Jordan Jefferson. What is the difference between kicking someone in the head and punching someone in the face? If the guy was a possible starter, he would not be dismissed from the team. He would be slapped on the wrist, have to miss the 1st quarter of McNeese, and be allowed to rejoin the team. Trey was no more than a 4th string back-up in LSU standards. They would never consider releasing Jennings.
That's different from this idiot. He got into a fight with a guy as a senior. That was Jefferson's first offense. He got a 4 game suspension. LMFAO is on his third offense in a year's time and this is way more serious.
Also from rumors Jefferson took the fall for some other guys on the team, because he wasn't the only one in that mess.
Quiet down ULL fan. Stick to baseball threads.

I can't tell you how many times I've been accused of stealing as I rummaged through the pockets of a knocked out person, only to have to punch the accusing woman in the face for her false accusation.
It could happen to anyone really.

So you're saying JJ would have had to kick two more helpless souls in the head to have been kicked off the team for good? Oh, so that's how it works. I got it. So the 3rd time is not a charm.

no, JJ was a senior with no prior incidents at the school. JJ was ultimately charged with a misdemeanor. No, we do not generally kick people off the team for first offense misdemeanors. 4 games seemed appropriate IMO. Trey L has had 3 separate incidents since arriving to LSU a year ago, two of those involving violence. The kid clearly has never learned how to behave or shown that he is willing to act like an adult, which is why he deserved to be kicked off the team.

I don't know why people refuse to understand every case is unique..
Miles would have booted even Jordan Jefferson had he had the same 3 incidents. Jefferson kicked a known prick in a very isolated event, but he didn't punch a woman or rob anyone. He definitely didn't go punching things is anger and breaking his arm.
Treys first incident can also be considered a locker room issue. Something on top of everything else you definitely don't want. Not sure the team can unite with a guy like this.. Tyrann had a drug problem but was not causing harm and the team rallied for the guy. He wasn't physically assaulting anyone or even breaking the law if it was for synthetic. They desperately wanted to get him help because they loved Tyrann and his personality and he loves LSU. He had an infectious personality. Both sides are on great terms to this day which is so beneficial. Had Tyrann done the same 3 incidents as Trey L he would have been booted too.
Miles booted even Ryan Perrilloux who had a few incidents, but some may even say he didn't deserve it.. But some of his incidents showed poor attitude and once that's shown its bad. Booting Perrrilloux set LSU back tremendously, something we are just recently recovering from. He was as big of a star for the future as anyone and even he got the boot early.. Leaving us with 2 freshman to have to start..
So people can really knock it off with the ignorant he wouldn't have booted others. They are all case by case incidents. I think Miles has been spot on in his handling of judgment for every player in trouble.

You seem mad at JJ over something that has nothing to do with JJ. Did he kick you in the head? Can we all kick you in the head?

The dude needs to go - I wouldn't be surprised if there were incidences about which we never heard - but I have to say, in general, I think our defense would benefit from a few players w/mean streaks.
In the immortal words of Deacon Jones, the self purported inventor of the head slap said - "look here, when you go up side some mayne or woman head, you got their immediate attention."

Perrilloux had the potential to be LSU's version of Jamis Winston. I was glad to see him go.

And in Lealaimatafo's case, not only was this his 3rd (known) incident, but this one was bad, real bad. I think most everyone saw this dude was a growing problem, most likely another incident was going to happen and if in the middle of the season, disharmony for the team. He had to go!
