He's one of the few outdoor writers I can depend on to get it right as well as allowing me to explain something in detail without printing sensitive quotes.

Anyone been watching Charlie Thomason's show on CST since it started a couple weeks back? Really good tactics and he tells you exactly how-to, I'm liking it so far.

Yes, really good show. Love the content and like that it's someone sharing knowledge the whole time rather than just someone blabbing on how great the fishing is and pimping some guide. Can't wait to see some more episodes on trout fishing. It seems like the first few episodes were redfish heavy.

Wow, great article today Todd. You must be really burning the midnight oil to churn out this piece.

You ever launch a boat at Delacroix? If so you realize that this is, sadly, a necessary lesson.

Jeez dude. He got with your girl back in the day or what?

Don't get me wrong I'm not crazy about all the blasting spots for the world to see, but he's a good dude. You really got it out for this guy.

His next article will be "How to net a fish" or "How to put ice into an ice chest"

I'm not miserable, his articles make me miserable.

Yup. Some people like being miserable, though.

Todd is a great guy, and the best thing that has happened to NOLA.com in a long while. I think he is from NO, but he knows his stuff regardless. He constantly puts out information which is hard to do. Not every blurb is ground breaking, but most are pretty decent. He was one of the few writers to push for public tidal waterway rights in this state back when he was with sportsman so for that I’ll always respect him, even though its a lost cause here in LA.

His book Specks is pretty decent. and IMO more useful as a learning tool than Troutmasters which is more or less a collection of family histories of the"local legend" trout fisherman in this state.
