Like what does selling a pick get you I never understood that. Extra cash to spend in FA or just cash in general

Ha what??..easily the dumbest comment of the night.... how is it cheap to not pay a 2nd round pick?... we have a top 10 highest payroll in the NBA u dumb shite

It also comes down to if they feel any of the players can beat out a current player. With his skill set I can only see him being maybe more valuable than jimmer.

Obviously you can't read.
Coupling selling this pick with doing nothing at all in the draft is stupid.
You expect this team to make any kind of jump with the same roster next year and a retread coach? We can't afford anyone in free agency, and no one really wants our awful contracts, which leaves us with the draft to at least try to get some depth.

Dude, I seriously think you need some help. The simplest things get you worked up, and it's honestly a little pathetic

Benson must need some cash to pay his lawyer fees

What did you want us to do?

Selling the pick tells me that we're going to be close to or above the luxury tax.
Makes a lot of sense to me. We all wish that we could have an uber rich owner that doesn't give a frick about money, but ours has to consider it. The 56th pick was most likely never contributing for us. Benson isn't cheap, but he doesn't have bottomless pockets.

Still mad about this?
Outside of the top 10 or so,who would've made an impact THIS year? I don't think you realize most of these guys will barely contribute year one.

very close
assuming asik at 10MM or so, with cole coming back, and the MLE, they'll be bumping the tax line

We can't afford to get any difference makers in free agency, even with the MLE.
I'm not saying a low first rounder is gonna be a sure fire difference maker, but you have to try something different considering the model they've employed hasn't really done anything of note. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook don't get hurt and we don't even make the playoffs last year.
We are in a small market. We need to build through the draft. Besides AD, there are no factors drawing free agents in.
I'm sorry if the dose of reality that this team as currently constructed with this coach, isn't going to compete for a championship is too much for you to bear.

There weren't any difference makers to be had tonight for us? I don't know what's so hard to understand. You wanted us to trade up into the top 10?

But the way to get a low 1st like you want would be to sell off next year's pick. So cycle repeats.

Damn, I really like Dawson's game.

To quote myself from earlier today on the board:
"The only two words you're going to hear tonight in regard to the Pels are:
CASH CONSIDERATIONS"
Done and Done. I'll be here all summer
