mike fontenot was also national freshman of the year. kramer has no pop whatsoever in his bat. it's unusual for a guy of his stature to have pop like fontenot had in college. kramer doesn't hit well for average either and his defense isn't good enough to justify having a hole in the lineup like nola was his freshman season.

You're right that size doesn't necessarily matter. But Robertson doesn't have Fontenot's strength or pop. Not by a long shot.

I remember watching Stevenson as a freshman and saying..."If this kid ever learns to hit...".

He turned out to be one of the best ever! I didn't think we would ever replace Mikie Mahtook but then along comes Stevenson. As I sit here wondering how we'll replace Stevenson, I'm pretty confident another star will soon emerge.

He's laughing because he thinks the height is the qualifier. He's discounting that both guys he listed we 25 lbs heavier and more naturally talented with a bat.
