Leasing vs Purchasing a new truck...

what are the pros vs cons of these 2 options. i currently drive a 2010 toyota tacoma dbl cab 4x4. i'm looking to upgrade to a full size pick up, but i'm not quite sure how i want to go about doing it.
also, i'm not sure what model i want to get. i test drove a sierra z71 dbl cab during lunch today, but it wasn't spacious enough in my opinion. it did have the center console between the 2 front seats that reach all the way to the dash. do you guys have any suggestions?

you are going to have a good amount of equity on that Tacoma.
With that trade in your purchase note shouldn't be too bad.

Outside of some pretty specific situations, leasing is usually the lesser choice.

if you're rich, lease it.
new car every 3 years, dont have to worry about selling your old one

i still owe about half of what i paid for it, plus i racked up the miles the first 3 years drive 120 miles a day for work (60 way). i kinda got screwed in the beginning seeing as to how i never bought a vehicle before. i didn't have any credit.

So did you suddenly get a raise? Why not just pay this vehicle off?

It's getting too small. I love this truck, but life is beginning to change and I might need something bigger soon.

Only time you should lease is on a car the has higher depreciation rates.
Have you tried to find out what the resale on your tacoma is? They have great resale.
If you want a truck with room don't leave out the Tundra.

That's not really true at all. The residual will be higher on vehicles that have higher resale rates.

Are you still driving 120 miles a day?
If so, a lease will never be an option for you.

I moved closer to work back in January. I went from 120 miles to 5 miles.
