What? He scrambles to get out of the way of sacks and gets up field.

One word... PURDUE.. LSU much better talent

It is so ridiculous that so many people actually believe that every player on a LSU, Alabama, Auburn is better than EVERY player on a Purdue, UCONN, or even Eastern Michigan etc. squad. Just so stupid.

He's got the footwork to kick down doors better than AJ.

Purdue has had a much better history of QB play than LSU. Finally a pro-style QB for a pro style offense. Im happy to have this kid even if he's a career backup, but i see no reason he cant be the next matt Flynn or Mauck. 4 star recruit, already has starting experience, and will be able to develop another year or 2 before seeing the field at LSU.

If there's one position I don't mind LSU stockpiling in light of recent history, it's at QB.

Not sure why you find that funny.

The common theme between our disastrous recent QB situation is that Lee, Jefferson, Harris, and jennings all got thrown into starting roles before they were ready.

Flynn and Mauck had the luxury of learning as backups first. This kid will have that and also shares a similar skill set with those 2 as opposed to the athletic spread style QB's we keep recruiting.

In recent history ... they sure as hell do.

Imagine what this kid will have to work with at LSU ... that he didn't have at Purdue.

I work with a guy from Purdue. I said "tell me everything you know about Danny Etling"

His response: "he's fricking awful."

Damn. Our coaches should have consulted the guy you work with.
