LSU defensive tackle Trey Lealaimatafao was arrested for simple battery and simple robbery, a felony, on Thursday following a fight in the parking lot of a Baton Rouge bar, according to police booking records.
LSU team spokesman Michael Bonnette said Lealaimatafao has been indefinitely suspended from the team. This is Lealaimatafao’s third such off-the-field incident and second arrest in one year in Baton Rouge.
Lealaimatafao, a redshirt freshman from Texas, beat an unnamed male victim unconscious and then punched the victim’s girlfriend in the face with a closed fist in the parking lot of Reggie’s bar on Tuesday, police records show.
Lealaimatafao dug through the male victim’s pockets after the alleged beating. Three eye witnesses told police that the football player fled the scene when authorities arrived. All three witnesses gave police similar accounts of the incident and identified Lealaimatafao out of a photo lineup.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office booked Lealaimatafao, 18, at 2:02 p.m. Thursday and he remains in jail on $15,000 bond.
Simple battery calls for up to 90 days in jail, a fine up to $200, or both. Simple robbery carries a fine of up to $3,000, up to seven years of jail time, or both.
The 6-foot, 300-pound former three-star prospect didn’t play a down as a rookie last year after two off-the-field incidents last summer. He punched through a window in the team’s weight room in July, severely cutting his left arm, and he was arrested later for allegedly stealing a bicycle outside of LSU’s Middleton Library.
He went through pre-trial diversion to have the misdemeanor arrest expunged.
LSU went nearly an entire year without having a football player arrested before offensive lineman Jevonte Domond’s arrest three weeks ago on a felony domestic abuse battery with strangulation. The victim was his girlfriend. He’s on indefinite suspension.

Obviously he's a guy who lets people get under his skin very easily combined with a lack of intelligence.

Should've focused all this hate and intensity towards the field.
