You nailed it: everyone knows that a bottle of dressing / sauce doesn't cost $40 which is what it would be if each small amount cup were valued at the restaurant price.

What do you do for a living? Does your company survive by making a profit on it's customers? Restaurants are hard to recoup food costs without charges. I can see free refills because drinks are cheap, but sauces add up and if they are free, people will abuse it.
Plus they like everyone else will do what can be done to maximize profit.

Sounds like dining out isn't a good idea for you.
Buy your own bottle of ranch and cold drink, order to go and eat at home.

Do you have any idea how the food industry works? Any idea's about that hidden costs in your bottle of ranch dressing?
