Warning: Another cool story, bro

So I go to get some beer from the Shell down the street from my house after I got off work tonight, and I'm standing at the register getting my wallet out to show the guy behind the register cause I'm still in my early 20s and haven't transcended into that phase of adulthood yet where not getting ID'd is normal. Well, the guy I hand my ID to kinda looks at it for a good 8-10 seconds, then he looks over at the other guy working behind the counter, and gives him a little look. He looks back at me and says, "I am taking this.", and holds onto my wallet and proceeds to whip out a bundle of confiscated IDs while I looked at him dumbfounded by what is happening, until I got that "I'm over 21, and I don't have to take this shite" mentality so I demanded that he returned it or I'd call the police. He told me to call the police, but he's not giving me my ID back. Completely butthurt by what he said I almost lost my shite on him, but as soon as he sees I'm legitimately flustered, hands back my ID and laughs with his friend, then asks me, "why did you show me your ID, this is Shell? You don't have to worry about that here, man." I had a pretty good laugh about it afterwards, but they were practically pissing themselves over my reaction to such a harmless prank. Guess I deserves that, but damn if they didn't start cracking up when I threatened to call the police, I'm sure I was this close to losing my cool and making an even bigger arse of myself.
