did LSU offer this guy out of high school

Did you see the crop of freshman pitchers we signed last year?
Posted on 6/7/15 at 2:41 pm to zed44
Recruited him but did not offer in the end per his dad Tim Leger.

You must not have seen the guys we got last year. Ledger is good but not like the guys we signed

Nope.
6-4 playing in the Sunbelt and you'd swear he walks on water reading their boards. He wouldn't be starting at LSU.

You are exaggerating, he'd be our #3 guy right now.

at the time, we had a healthy latz and mac marshall as well as our other guys like lange

No he wouldn't. That record would be 3-7 with a 4-6 ERA, at best, in this conference. Godfrey, Persons, and Reynolds would look better than him in that league.

our number 3 guy has been hit and miss so that isn't saying much
he is clearly their best starter, but he is far from the best guy we have faced in SEC play.

Well I didn't say he was that. But he is similar to mediocre SEC pitching.

If LSU is so much better than the Cajuns, he'd actually have a better supporting cast around him. Therefore better record, era, etc.
But don't let logic get in the way.

The way ULL fans have been talking makes him sound like he will dominate us tonight and somehow ULL still has the advantage because they say we had to walk off against their 3rd best starter.

The way we have been hitting, he may. But I have a good feeling about our bats tonight.

I would say marks did a pretty damn good job against the vaunted LSU lineup last night. Leger is better than he is. UL also won 2 out of 3 vs bama 2 years in a row. The pitching is on par with LSU. marks matched Lange last night pitch for pitch.

The positive is LSU was still hitting a lot of balls hard yesterday they just didn't find gaps. We would have at least 2 more runs if it wasn't for the 3rd baseman playing lights out. On the opposite side Hale played horrible. Our gloves were bad as was our bats last night.
