Are people saying Dwight doesn't deserve to be in the Hall of Fame? Charles Barkley is in the Hall of Fame, and deservedly so. Not only is Charles a widely-respected hall of fame basketball player, but he is also in the "Top 50 of all-time".
Charles Barkley's accomplishments over his career:
1x NBA MVP
11x All-Star
5x NBA First Team
1x Rebounding Leader
Dwight's accomplishments so far:
8x All-Star
5x NBA First Team
3x NBA Defensive Player of the Year
4x All-Defensive First Team
5x Rebounding Leader
2x Blocks Leader
And as far as the MVP goes, many people think Dwight was robbed the year Derrick Rose won.
If Dwight's stats compare like that to one of the greatest players of all-time, then surely he could get into the Hall.

Yea, I think it will be a surprise if he doesn't make it

Zach Randolph isn't exactly a totally laughable idea. The only players with higher career pts and rebounds than him are all HOFers or future HOFers with the exception of Brad Daugherty and George McGinnis (biggest snub of them all).

2 count that 2 all star games. Really no other honors to speak of outisde of a 3rd team all nba appearance...He'll probably be known more for being a knucklehead off the court early in his career than for anything he did on the court when it's all said and done.

Very strong, lacks longevity tho.

Manu will probably be in as well.

Has anyone mentioned yet that there is no such thing as the NBA HOF?

Ummmmm where is the current MVP?

Does anyone think Yao could make it as an international or contributor to the game? Possibly a longshot, but he has been huge for the popularity of the sport in China.

Gasol is arguably a top 10 PF of all time. Kinda dampens Kobes' resume

So many hot takes in this thread
Posted on 6/4/15 at 4:59 pm to RTR America
it is like beyond impossible to dampen either kobes or duncans resume for any reason. there is literally no conceivable way either arent in on their first ballot

There were a couple of years I thought Dwight should have gotten it.

To be fair LeBron should have won the MVP over both of them that season

Dwight is a HOF'er.
Barkley is an all-time great.
