Dan Straily's last 3 starts:
19 IP - 4 RA - 1.19 ERA - 23 K's - 2 BB
Also of note:
Sam Deduno "shut down" by the organization due to hip pain. Not sure if this means he's out for the rest of the year or not.
Vince Velasquez is finally on the radar with the FO and is in the discussion among next call ups if the need arises for another starter.

Time to give Straily a shot IMO

Where the hell is everyone today?

We will see what they do with correa but I don't see them calling him up if he is batting .240 in AAA. Maybe I'm wrong but I would like to see him get hot first.

If they had even adequate production at SS, you might be right. I almost feel bad for how dumb Villar is. He has the talent but if he doesn't do something quick, he'll find himself out of baseball quick.

Yeah, he's been slumping a bit recently. At this point though, I almost think his defense will be enough to get him called up. Villar is an abomination. He's at 9 errors in 90 chances so far at SS/3B this year.
For his career: 39 errors, 673 chances
Correa career: 40 errors, 1294 chances

Accidental down vote CQQ.
Villar is frustrating, he's been hitting better lately but he can't throw the damn ball to first base. I will report back tonight with Correa analysis from tonight's game

So that means correa is feilding about .969 in his career. What would you say is a MLB average at shortstop? I'm not to familiar with advance stats
Posted on 6/1/15 at 1:52 pm to Tigerfan_95
I'm curious as well. It seems like you could be twice as good as Villar and still be average, that's how bad he's been.
He should also strictly hit RH but I doubt that'll happen.

I checked on Correa's fielding stats and he has improved a lot on his fielding from his first years. In some leagues he was fielding .944 and now this year he is fielding around .985 and that is between CC and Fresno

Yeah he started out not great, but has gotten better.

Let's see Straily do it for another start. And let's see if Fausto will make the move easy with his next outing.

Maybe bitter Dallas can win a few World Series for us to make up for all the seasons Arkansas has gone without a national title.
