Any chance CPM does something to recognize Foster this weekend since he was robbed of the opportunity in the last home series?

Pretty sure the NCAA wouldn't allow that. They do everything they can to make this a "neutral" site to the point of overkill.

0%. NCAA rules won't allow that most likely.

I mean, wasnt he the one responsible for the grade he received?

I am extremely glad he's back, and that he's well within the rules to be playing, and that he was able to switch majors and get a degree.

But I wouldnt say he was robbed of the opportunity

Just being back on the team should be enough.

Just curious but why can the softball team during regional and super regional games at tiger park play home music? Example is when the lady tigers would score a run but not when the opposing team would score.

I know its ncaa rules for baseball but its weird to me its allowed in softball

It's not allowed, it's just that nobody watches softball so they don't even know it's going on

I know this is the rule but it has never made sense to me. You earn the home field advantage in the season. I feel they should be allowed to play walk up songs and other things.

that's actually exactly what happened. the LSU compliance dept really dropped the ball on Foster not knowing the rules for eligibility

I agree. When we're not the home team we can't even use our own locker room before the game.

This. They let him back on team because he did well enough to abide by NCAA rules. That doesn't mean he wasn't fricking around and skipping classes.

I'm glad to have him back, but he did/didn't do something to get himself into a situation that his eligibility was borderline.

Time to enjoy the fact that he's in the post season.

Pretty sure this did not happen. He had enough credit hours (6) to be considered pursuing a different major than the one in which he didn't pass a class for.

He may not have a ceremony or anything but he may sub him out in the 8th or 9th if we're up so that he can get a standing ovation. He did this for Katz and Rhymes.

It really is stupid. It's the whole point in hosting is to have the home-field advantage so you should get every aspect of that

No, no, no...

Why does everyone think that "senior day" is super stupendous event that supersedes what is most important, the game that day?

Also, if Foster wanted to make sure he had a Senior Day he wouldn't have blown off the class room project.

Agree 100%. I've had it explained to me that LSU and the Box aren't "hosting" but rather that the NCAA has "leased" the site from LSU and that the NCAA is actually hosting. bullshite if you ask me.
