Objectively speaking, Jordan is better than James at this point in their careers.

Perfect example of what I sarcastically referenced in my previous post.

LeBron haters are going to cling to the fact that he came straight to the NBA and spin it as a criticism. It is fricking mind blowing.

You are probably too young to remember the 2011 NBA Finals, but Google it.

If you go by age it's a perfectly rational argument

The funny part is 15 years from now there will be another current GOAT that everyone will be arguing against the Lebron lovers for

You'll still have the MJ fanboys.

Very few would disagree with how he fared in that Finals.

Huh? He made a comparison between the two players after 12 seasons. Jordan had won more. How is that hating LeBron and spinning as criticism?

So what? I think the reason why no one counts that '95 playoff appearance is because he barely played that season and he was getting back into the game after having been playing baseball for a year and a half.

In the 1995 playoffs, Jordan scored more points than he did in 96 and 97, and had more rebounds and assists than he did in 96 and 98.

It is a myth that Jordan was mediocre and rusty in the 1995 playoffs.

Magic Johnson at age 30: 8 Finals, 5 Championships, 3 Finals MVPs, 2 NBA MVPs

Magic >>>> Lebron.

Pretty damn impressive.

Nick Anderson would disagree with you:

quote:

At the end of Game 1, Orlando's Nick Anderson stripped Jordan from behind, leading to the game-winning basket for the Magic; he would later comment that Jordan "didn't look like the old Michael Jordan."

And that was in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Jordan was a little rusty at first, and it may have taken a few games for the team to get back together, but he was fine for the playoffs.

One of the biggest reasons why the Bulls didn't win in 1995 was because they didn't have Horace Grant, who had left the previous summer in free agency. To make matters worse for Chicago, he signed with Orlando, who the Bulls lost to that 1995 postseason.

The Bulls filled that void by getting Rodman following the '95 season, and the rest is history.

Jordan averaged 4.0 turnovers per game and had more turnovers than assists in that series. Plus he had a horrific defensive rating of 110 and his offensive rating was tied for his lowest ever in a playoff series. It's safe to say Jordan was nowhere near his peak effectiveness in that series.

Those 12 seasons encompass more of Jordan's prime than they do for LeBron.

I've got no problem admitting that Jordan has more accomplishments through 12 seasons than LeBron, but I believe that is a disingenuous way to present the argument.

Team stats, they missed Horace Grant.
