I could see her getting assigned a Stark to prove her loyalty, but not goin through with it.

I've said Arya will murder Sansa since the butcher's boy lie. i don't know how it will be spun. I just have a feeling that this would be a major twist for GRRM. Maybe,
Arya finds out that Sansa is now married to the people that killed the majority of her family.
The faceless men want to take out the evil heir to warden of the north and his queen.
Maybe Arya attempts to kill Sansa but is instead killed by Sansa unknowingly (faceless)

I remember watching some HBO behind the scenes special with the show runners during season 1, and they said in their very first meeting with GRRM he quizzed them on who Jon Snow's mother really was.
From watching that I think the R+L theory is real.

Tywin was sick, because your boy, Oberyn, had poisoned him, he wasn't capable of fricking.

It would be the greatest troll job ever if he just turned out to be Ned's bastard who dies at The Wall. SOOOOO many people would be pissed.
I'm pretty numb at this point. Your "troll" ending for Jon would be completely consistent with the treatment of the Starks throughout the series.
And for the record, I think George Martin is likely struggling with the ending of the books/series because he knows most readers/viewers are hoping for some level of redemption/happy ending for the Starks yet he can't force himself to do it.

I honesty just think the story has gotten away from him, and he doesn't know how to tie everything in. I think we can see that in the way the plans for the series has expanded.

If you want an unpopular outcome based on nothing, I'll take Ramsey sitting the Iron Throne with a Reek as his Hand and Sansa being held in a black cell being used only for breeding purposes.

And deep down inside, this is the kind of ending Martin wants. Add in that the Boltons find a way to control the white walkers and they completely overrun Westeros providing Roose and Ramsay with total domination.
