they do have a better record than they should, their expected record is 22-17 and they are at 25-14. at 25-14, they need to go 63-60 (51%) to get to 88-74. it seems possible but we will need to see if they eventually start losing some games they are supposed to. even then, they are off to such a good start that i think they can get there

well, you have 3 regulars hitting under .200
and another 3 that are hitting under .240
bullpen has been good, but starters have 18th best ERA in baseball.
team is extremely fortunate to be where they are right now.
SEA's slow start and OAK's injuries are really helping them right now.

Under.
But the division is particularly poor with 2 rotten teams and teams do come out of nowhere, so who knows.

Im not sure why you insist on thinking this is a good team. Injuries or not, they're not good at all.

What part of this says they are "playing over their head"? It looks like they aren't playing well and are winning anyway. They won't keep up this pace but at some point they will actually play better so it won't be a complete crash.

Griffin is supposed to be back late July at the earliest and Parker is likely out for the year. So the Oakland squad you see is pretty much what they are, unless you think Ben Zobrist will play like an MVP candidate upon his return.
Cano will get it together but Nelson Cruz also isn't going to hit 340 with 60 bombs. Aside from Felix I just don't think Seattles rotation is very strong. Overall the division sucks.
To the OP I say just under at 86 or 87 wins, but they still win the division and go to the playoffs

I'll take it. The trend for this franchise is obvious

If they get into the mid 80s this year, playoffs or not, next year could be pretty special with a full year of Correa plus hopefully a significant pitching addition to Keuchel and McHugh

88 wins sounds a bit high so I'll take the under, but probably still in the 80's. Then again before the season I was predicting just being happy to be .500, so who knows.
Screw it we winnin' 100!

Zobrist, Ike Davis, and Coco Crisp have all been hurt this year.
Oakland's pitching has been fine. 5th in the MLB in ERA by starters. They are also 5th in the MLB in runs scored.
Oakland has scored more runs this year than Houston has, and has had better starting pitching.
Vogt, Semien, and Redick are all on pace to be all stars. Sonny Gray too.
they are 3-4 against the Astros. And have scored the same amount of runs in those games.

You just used someone to justify your argument that's batting .050. and a career .240 hitter. Yeah. .050 I'm sure you'll reply with, "oh, that number will rise," yet, you'll guarantee the Astros lineup will never improve.

shows you how lucky the astros have been. When a team with a better offense(even missing 3 of their key offensive players at times) and better starting pitching is 11 games back of them.

Crisp has played 12 games and has been horrendous. He honestly might not be long for their roster with how many bodies they have in the outfield. He wasn't great last year either so it's pretty tough to list him as a difference maker of any sort.
Ike Davis just went on the DL this weekend. He's been a regular for them so far this year, so I don't see how you can say his absence has hurt them. He's also just not very good
Zobrist is a nice player but I don't see him transforming their lineup upon his return. They obviously won't finish with like 60 wins or whatever they're on pace for but they aren't a good team. We haven't touched on how atrocious they are defensively or how bad their bullpen has been. They are a 75 win team.
