Wife and I tend to like a bit of spiciness to our steaks, even good cuts.
For me:
Red Pepper
Black Pepper
Sea Salt
Rub it all in real good. Let sit in the fridge a while. Then before throwing on hot cast-iron, sprinkle some seasoning from Earl's in Lafayette on each side.
Sear to a "rare plus".

let meat get to room temperature. Then we rub in some "reduced sodium" Dale's and lightly cover with Montreal seasoning....let sit for 30 min. About 2 minutes before you remove steaks from grill/oven put a dab of garlic butter on top.

I don't like to use garlic powder when grilling because it chars and turns bitter easily. I also find the only dried herb that holds its flavor is oregano.
