Yea, there are so many riots going on in the poorest areas of Appalachian USA! Someone needs to tell those people to rise up !

No, this is the opinion of the majority of this board. Did you skip 4 pages of this thread?
Bc most everyone on this board has seen neighborhoods go to shite. And it is always when the neighborhood turns black. Never does a neighborhood turn black but stay nice. Never does a neighborhood turn Asian and go to shite. And even poor white neighborhoods are vastly cleaner and safer than the average black neighborhood.
This isn't good, it doesn't make me happy. I wish it weren't so. But it's the way it is.

Show me one country in Africa that you would prefer to live in today over the U.S. You are reaping the benefits of the severe price your ancestors paid. And you're fricking crying about it like it was your blood, sweat, and tears.

If undesirables can afford to move into your neighborhood, it's time to take a look in the mirror.

The folks doing he rioting have been majority low class minorities. But I would expect this kind of response from someone such as yourself.

It's called Section 8

Navy must have never been to Boston. The overt racism there would rival any backwoods southern town.

No landlord is going to section 8 a nice house in a nice neighborhood

What he said has merit. I'll give a shiny new quarter to the first person that can show me a majority white neighborhood that was resettled by minorities but maintained its property value, showed no increase in crime, or any real decline.
ETA: There are probably a couple of mostly Asian neighborhoods in California that fit this description too.

It isn't simply ignoring the BS when it's a majority opinion, that's like saying ignore the class demographics, just focus on the race
Isn't what you're doing focusing on the negative?
Some of what he said is truth and some is plain stupid.

And the poor people in Appalachian are upper class? Obvious "class" has nothing to do with it !

Sure, it's their own fault for moving.
This guy is as racist as can be. Anyone who excuses this or makes statements like "well he is up front about it", is just as much of a racist.

How often do 350k + houses go section 8?

No section 8 in my neighborhood
Posted on 5/16/15 at 12:26 pm to GreatLakesTiger24
Probably not $350K+ neighborhoods. But many middle class neighborhoods aren't in that range. I recall when most of Algiers was decent, when Woodmere was decent, when Terrytown was decent, when much of New Orleans East was decent. None of those were 350K areas but still fine places to raise a family. Add some apartments, sprinkle in an oil bust and watch Section 8 go to work.

It often starts with apartments. The cancer spreads from them when apartments start lowering rents or taking government subsidies. It worries me where I live now in Katy, so many new apartments going up and all it takes is prolonged low oil prices before the apartments get filled with trash.
